Just started taking landscape pictures as a pastime with my new (actually pre-ownded) digital slr. Don't know why this subject matter appeals to me more than, say, taking photographs of people. Maybe it has some thing to do with big open spaces along with the grandeur of the outdoors.

Started doing landscape photography several months back and must say I'm enjoying it. I try to get the ideal shot in the camera as opposed to refining it later on in Photoshop. Attempted using a compact camera to start with but the flexibility of a digital slr just means I can do a lot more things like lengthy exposures of running water.
